We talked about sales development with Bogdan Nicoară the CEO & Co Founder at Bright Spaces. This is a Proptech startup revolutionizing real estate by disrupting showcasing, leasing, and management of commercial property.

1. How would you describe your company in an elevator pitch?
Bright Spaces is a highly personalized, end-to-end showcasing and leasing online solution. By using an ultra-productive bundle of automation, optimization and digitalization features, we enable landlords to:

  • lease their spaces (delivered or off-plan) faster, by having a full 3D digital twin of the building and spaces available for virtual tours.
  • showcase future vacant spaces with virtual tours long before the current tenant leaves, generating constant cash-flow
  • have real-time, 24/7 access to data related to tenants contracts, spaces, parking or storage through an easy to use management dashboard
  • go for a more ESG-oriented solution for their marketing and leasing processes and add to their brand as a responsible company 

2. What are you the best at?
We are a very agile team, always ready to adopt and implement new technologies that will serve the needs of our clients. I think that given the market we are active in, being one step ahead is critical. Our style of work is a mix between delivering projects and serving clients and a constant eye on new technologies that we could adopt – and then actually use them.

3. How did you find your first customers?
Bright Spaces was born in April 2019, with our participation in the Real Estate PropTech Hackathon organized by PropTech Romania. 

A few months later, Skanska`s commercial development business unit in Romania, in partnership with PropTech Romania, organized the first national PropTech hackathon. We participated in the competition and were awarded in the Leasing and Main Event categories.

This is how our collaboration with Skanska began.

Soon after that, we signed our partnership with our second client, One United Properties, who also became our first client to showcase all their available office buildings through Bright Spaces. 

4. What are your customers saying about your product?
This partnership with Bright Spaces is the result of the investments we have been doing over time in innovation, building the future, that materialized with projects like the Hackathon. We are happy that together with Bright Spaces, one of the winners of our 2019 PropTech competition, we take a new important step. The platform, implemented for the first time in Romania for the Equilibrium project, which we are developing in the most important business center in Bucharest, answers the industry’s requests, especially in the current context. Thus, our innovation comes to the benefit of those involved in the leasing process. The digital leasing solution for our office portfolio at One United Properties enabled us to put forward, remotely and in a highly efficient manner, solutions that also include fitout options and 3D tours. 5. What are your proud achievements so far?

November 2019 – first investment round of EUR 185.000

Spring 2020 – participating in Pi Labs’ acceleration program 

July 2021 – second investment round of EUR 1,5 Million

6. What is the next big thing in your industry?
The integration with new technologies and digital innovations (such as the metaverse) while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and ESG policies.

7. What are your plans for the next 6-12 months?
In the following months, we will expand our portfolio with clients from Romania and Europe and address entire portfolios, grow our team, accelerate our product development towards product market fit and Mature as an ESG first organisation. We want to become category creators in proptech and serve the market in a unique, digital-first, customer-centric manner.
