We talked about sales development with Charlie Ohlen the CEO of Mentalyics. BrainTech company Mentalytics will bring real brain-training to everyone in 2022.
1. How would you describe your company in an elevator pitch?
Mentalytics helps people, students, and companies improve their focus and thus increase their performance via EEG technology.
2. What are you the best at?
Product Development is the thing we have most experience in within Mentalytics. My favorite thing to do which I’m most likely also the best at is customer relationships.

3. How did you find your first customers?
They actually found us. Kia, Slovakia reached out to us in early 2020 wanting to find new devices/apps that could improve efficiency among workers.
4. What are your customers saying about your product?
The one most fitting to me is: Mindblowing!
We’re not literally blowing up people’s minds but if you’ve never used EEG or tried a Mentalytics product in the past, getting to know your own focus and seeing how quickly we can showcase a shift from one focused thought to another, feels truly mindblowing.

5. What are your proud achievements so far?
Together with the entire dev team and our founder we were in the last few weeks able to bring forth a new algorithm that tends more towards sustainability of focus rather than level of focus. This opens so many doors towards potential ADHD identification but also training and help.
6. What is the next big thing in your industry?
We are! While Mentalytics have been on the forefront of commercial EEG products for the past two decades, we have yet to enable ourselves towards the end consumers and B2B. Our entire portfolio has been about educating children mostly about EEG, now we actually get to implement the educational aspect and help train peoples focus with our newest product.
Overall in the BrainTech industry I think we’re going to see a lot more software solutions for the various hardware headbands that exist on the market today in the coming years. The headbands will also evolve and become a bigger staple within tech-gadgets people want to have rather than need to have.
7. What are your plans for the next 6-12 months?
We’re just around the corner from having signed purchase orders from several major car manufacturers in Europe. Then we look towards expanding the team in 2022. First of all we’re looking to close our funding round however. Enabling a bigger spend ahead of launch later in spring of this year.
