We talked about sales development with Camille Padilla, a Co-founder at VODIUM. This is a technology that takes video communication to the next level.

1. How would you describe your company in an elevator pitch?
VODIUM is the chosen-secret tool for everyone from Fortune 50 Executives, Members of Congress to Everyday professionals – when they want to be an effective communicator on video. The transparent technology sits directly on top of any virtual meeting, allowing our customers to read their notes or scripts, while still looking at their audience. VODIUM was designed in direct response to the universal problem apparent from day 1 of the pandemic when we all went virtual – making eye contact. And we were the first company to solve it.

2. What are you the best at?
I’m best at operations, accounting, high-level strategy, and marketing/creative/content.

3. What customer acquisition strategy did you use to find your first customers?
When we launched our MVP in August 2020, our initial customers were through our personal networks and word of mouth.

4. What are your customers saying about your product?
Our customers say that they don’t go a day without on Zoom. And or it’s a game changer to their confidence and how they feel in control over their virtual meetings or presentations.

5. What are your proud achievements so far?
We recently raised a seven-figure seed round and just pitched at SXSW. We also just recently hired our VP of Sales to navigate the B2B route, and a Director of Marketing to help with B2C and be a funnel for B2B.

6. What is the next big thing in your industry?
We’re quite literally carving out a new industry and the next big milestone is to prove that companies who are choosing to go hybrid will want to implement effective communication into their core systems that they provide their employees. Especially their new hires.

7. What are your plans for next 6-12 months?
Our plan is to get close or break a million in revenue.
